BON-BON (singer-songwriter Sian King) releases her EP ‘She Don’t Want To Know’ on 25th November 2013 and shares the strong lead track written about a friend who doesn’t know how good she’s got it.
On her impressive debut EP, produced by Mazen Murad at Metropolis, who has worked with the likes of MIA and Florence and the Machine, she says: “It’s about friends and ‘lovers’, relationships and situations I’ve been in over the past 4 years. Taking particular situations and making them hyper dramatic, giving them a backdrop, scenery and characters. Having a real life experience and then making a story out of it.”
On working on the EP alongside her long time guitarist (and friend) John Landau she says: “I was brought up on Eternal and SoulIISoul, as well as a shaky collection of 90s euro dance/trance with my mum, while my dad had me singing Cast and Alanis Morisette on the way to school in the car after his night-shifts. John has a brain like a music emporium. It’s been great to be able to merge our musical loves and write tracks that are so personal to me”.
Catch BON-BON live for her EP launch at The Islington, London on December 12th.
