QUIET LIONS ‘ARE YOU WELL?’: “I THOUGHT THAT I WOULD WEAR MY HEART ON MY SLEEVE…”
Brighton/London based quartet Quiet Lions unveil the video (directed by Tom Barnes) for their strong track ‘Are You Well?’, released on the 30th September and taken from their debut 6 track EP ‘Surroundings’, self-released on 4th November through TableTalk records.
After the breakup of Alcopop Records signing Jumping Ships, Michael Williams, Richard Thorp and Oli Austen set about writing new material straight away, recruiting local producer and multi-instrumentalist Luke Holmes (Guitar/Keys/Vocals) and in 3 months demoed 12 songs.
On writing ‘Are You Well?’, written about a close friend’s grievance and how hard it can be to understand what they’re going through, front man Michael reveals: “Previously I would shroud the real meaning of my music in metaphor – but for this EP I thought that I would wear my heart on my sleeve”.
