Swedish Superstar DJ Avicii brought his megaclub atmosphere to Belfast last night, with a massive headline set to bring the final day of Tennent’s Vital 2013 to a close.
The sun shone on Belfast as tens of thousands of music fans descended on Boucher Road Playing Fields for the final day of the festival, which also saw Tinie Tempah, Rudimental, Naughty Boy and Tommy Trash take to the stage.
The atmosphere was electric as the Swedish DJ took to the decks. His set combined massive anthems with spectacular lighting and pyrotechnics, much to the delight of the rapturous crowd. Hits such as Levels and Wake Me Up were greeted with a massive roar from the crowd, with a special cheer when he played The Undertones’ Teenage Kicks, which the Northern Irish band had played themselves just days earlier on the very same stage when they played Day 1 of Tennent’s Vital.
Over the past 3 days, the biggest ever Tennent’s Vital has seen some of the world’s biggest acts take to the stage, including Kings of Leon, The Vaccines, The Undertones and The Minutes [Day 1], Snow Patrol, Jason Mraz, Kodaline and Foy Vance [Day 2] and Avicii, Tinie Tempah, Rudimental, Naughty Boy and Tommy Trash [Day 3].
