Check out Caro Emerald’s single ‘Liquid Lunch’, released on June 17th 2013 via Dramatico/Grandmono, a fun and witty pop tune delivered in Caro’s splendid sassy retro style. The song is the second single to be taken from her massive album ‘The Shocking Miss Emerald’.
On her album Caro says: “I would call it a fun mix of vintage jazz, beats and pop”.‘The Shocking Miss Emerald’ is inspired by the epicentre of style, romance, excitement, dangerous liaisons and Paris. Caro explains “I read about a Parisian designer from the early 1900s. Her clothes became so famous that, when she died, nobody noticed for a year because everyone was still talking about her.
We looked at the arts scene in Paris at the time, the music, the photography, the fashion. I was so inspired that I co-wrote one of the songs, The Maestro, about Karl Lagerfeld.”
