Azerbaijan native Emin Agalarov talks to FAME just before he is heading to New York to promote his debut US release, for the single’Baby Get Higher’:
What has been the hardest part of being in the music industry for you?
Its’ all pleasant, sometimes it gets a bit frustrating but at the end of the day I always feel privileged and happy to be a part of it. Tell us a bit about your early days and how they differ from now?
In the early days you feel that every new song you write is going to be a life changing one, then with time you realize that those songs are rare and you don’t get too overexcited
What was the last gig you played and what did you think of it?
The last one was my show in Baku, it was absolutely amazing like every show we do there and I feel really open and comfortable when I play in my hometown.
What’s the most successful thing you have done to date?
Made 2 kids, they are absolutely amazing.
Who has helped you the most get to where you are today?
I guess my parents with their constant support and freedom that they gave me.What’s coming next for you?
New markets, all the new countries that are yet to hear my music.
Is it hard being a new artist in today’s industry?
Its hard to be a New anything in any industry, it takes time to earn the reputation in anything you do.
How important is the internet and social network sites for your success?
They are part of my daily routine, so I guess, an important part of my life
Who would you most like to collaborate with in the music industry?
Haven’t really thought of it, I take things as they come. I’ve already worked with some amazing writers on the album like Brian Rawling, so I’m doing alright.
