The concert will take place at the Great Hall, Central Hall, Westminster, London on the 100th Anniversary of the day that the Titanic began its fateful journey from Southampton.
This will be Robin Gibb’s first performance of the brand new material since being declared in remission and will fulfil a lifelong ambition.
Robin Gibb said: “RJ and myself are thrilled to see our Titanic Requiem Premiere performed in full at the Central Hall in Westminster. I feel great, and I’m particularly excited about performing this brand new song and to have such special guests joining me on stage with the RPO makes this the realisation of a dream.”The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will perform the entire Titanic Requiem, forming an immersive concert experience featuring groundbreaking holographic projections created by Giuseppe Raffa.
Joining Robin Gibb and his son RJ Gibb, the Titanic Requiem’s co-composer, will be Welsh singer Aled Jones performing ‘Daybreak’ and the (soon-to-be) 14-year old prodigy, British choirgirl Isabel Suckling.
As featured on the Titanic Requiem album, Isabel Suckling will perform ‘Christmas Day’.
Isabel Suckling said: “Working with Robin was pretty incredible. He’s a huge inspiration to everyone around him – musically and personally. I’m so beyond excited for the concert in London and I’m really thrilled to be working with Aled again, last time was so much fun! ”
