Album Review: The Jane Bradfords – ’100 Miles of Broken Pavement’

100 Miles of Broken Pavement has been perhaps one of the most eagerly anticipated releases from a local band, following up on a hugely successful debut album must have been a daunting task.
Thankfully the Belfast native shave pulled it off nicely and the longer wait for this album has allowed their music to mature.

With only a couple of well-received EP/single releases to appease fans in the interim this is a welcome addition to the bands catalogue.

100 Miles of Broken Pavement is a refreshing collection of songs, each one has a texture to it , complementing the atmospheric guitar work and front man Deci Gallen’s vocals.

The likenesses to such acts as Echo & the Bunnymen, Joy Division and British Sea Power are still applicable here too.

The Jane Bradfords are definitely making a stand as a NI band of note and stand out as a band to watch out for in the future.
