VERY seldomly do I get incredibly impressed to the extent I can’t believe what I’m seeing but today that has happened and it’s happened while watching friends of mine on stage.
I’ve heard Kat and Tappers together as an acoustic act and also seen Tappers play in his previous band Mask Mantra. But what I see and hear today is something unique that Belfast is crying out for.
Tappers on guitar, Kat on keys, Aaron on violin and Richard on saxophone and I swear youcould be forgiven for thinking these guys had been together for a while.
I won’t be nice because I like these guys because they could certainly do with tightening up on their nerves and learn that their kind of talent requires a heap more confidence.
However, this is a unique band to the point where I can’t categorise or describe these guys because their sound eclectic with a little rock, soul, blues and pop all thrown together to bring you a fantastic sounding band who I believe will do very well on the Belfast scene and as soon as they have a set long enough will be getting booked for downstairs in Ma Nelson’s.
By the way listen out for some of their originals such as Kat’s song Invincible.
