A full house at the Europa Hotel venue welcomed the final stages of the popular Belfast FashionWeek, hosted by the lovely Katie Larmour. The show involved notorious high street names from Exhibit to French Connection, Tempest (including Mango, A-Wear, Mint Velvet), Hot Diamonds, One Clothing (including brands such as Bench, Miss Sixty & Firetrap) and CastleCourt stores including Designers at Debenhams, Warehouse, Miss Selfridge, La Senza and New Look.
Emphasis, on the up and coming spring fashion, seem to be on stripes, whether horizontal, vertical or diagonal, black, white or colored, the stripe is certainly THE pattern to have this summer.
Short or maxi, the dress is definitely making an impact on the trends and spring seem to announce the return of straw wedge sandals.
Colors seem to tend towards the earthly hues, lots of beiges, terracotta, copper but brighter, bolder options were also available.
Overall, however, the “flower power” seems to predominate again this season: flowery sweaters, flowery dresses, and flowery tops…. the garden of fashion is in bloom…
