“It gives me joy that Eva’s music is still giving so much pleasure to so many people” – Barbara Cassidy.

Eva Cassidy is the voice that has enchanted listeners worldwide.
Never afforded the stage her talent deserved in life, during the last decade Eva has sold over 8 million albums worldwide and achieved an unprecedented three consecutive posthumous No. 1 albums: Songbird (now x6 platinum UK sales award), Imagine and American Tune, as well as the No. 1 duet single with Katie Melua What A Wonderful World.

This year for the first time ever, Eva’s spellbinding performance of the Christmas classic Silent Night is being released as a digital single.

Accompanied solely by her acoustic guitar, Eva brings her delicate grace to this most enchanting of festive songs.
Silent Night precedes the album Simply Eva, a new collection of unreleased recordings featuring just voice and acoustic guitar.

Although previous albums have included the odd Eva-only track, Simply Eva is the first top to bottom Eva-only album.

These 12 performances include new interpretations of some of Eva’s classic pieces such as Songbird, Over The Rainbow and Time After Time, as well as folk renditions of Wayfaring Stranger and Wade In The Water.

Stripped-back and unadorned, Simply Eva is a sharp reminder of the haunting beauty of Eva’s voice and her undimmed talent.

Silent Night is available to download from the 13th December 2010. It also figures as a bonus track on the digital download version of Simply Eva, which is released on CD and digital on the 31st January 2011.
