prodigy41Mind-Blowing Statistics For Live In The Park. Live In The Park is set to be the biggest outdoor concert of the year! Up to 15,000 people are expected to visit the County Down shores of Newcastle on Friday 19th June to witness global icons The Prodigy perform live on stage in Donard Park.
zane-lowe1In total six acts will play around 55 tracks over six hours in what is hoped will be glorious sunshine.

They will perform on around six microphones, six CD decks, five guitars, four turntables, two fax machines and an abundance of electronic music equipment that puts most other concerts to shame.

And we can add to that countless thousands of watts in power, sound and light that will fill Donard Park and the Mountains of Mourne with live music from some of the biggest music stars on the planet.

The 15,000 revellers also have some interesting statistics of their own;

Around 8,000 burgers and 270,000 individual chips will be consumed along with 11,000 cans and bottles of fizzy drink.

Mobile phones will be busy with around 21,000 text messages being sent, countless phone calls made during and after the event and around £11,000 spent on taxi fares getting to and from the venue.

Hundreds of hotels, guest houses and bed and breakfast accommodation holdings will be booked out (be quick if you want one!), local restaurants, chippies and shops will handle up-teen thousand pound coins and at least one person will book themselves a skydiving trip for the following week!

And with 1,200 funky hats, 700 inflatable toys and 126 fancy dress costumes being bought Live In The Park is shaping up to be one almighty party for the people of Newcastle and beyond.

Live In The Park takes place on Friday 19th June at Donard Park, Newcastle, with The Prodigy, Hot Chip (DJ Set), Zane Lowe (Radio 1), The Japanese Popstars, Noize Control and a very special guest to be announced on 1st May.
