TEN GALLON HAT AND THE BIG SALUTE RELEASE DEBUT EP

BELFAST band Ten Gallon Hat and the Big Salute are to set to release their debut EP New Horizons on Saturday December 6 in Lavrey’s Attic. The four piece pull no punches, delivering their own inimitable blend of raucous rock, heart-wrenching soul and gutsy blues with a feverous undercurrent of country bubbling through every track. The EP itself is a fabulous showcase for a band who are simply not satisfied with the mundane.

Lead singer Kris Telford croons, moans and roars his way through each number, supported by a suitably supple Gerard Skelly on drums, in a rhythm section as imaginative as they are rock-solid and complimented perfectly by the gut busting tone of Eamon Lynch on lead guitar.

The infectious feel and aching harmonies are provided by lady bass player Eilis Phillips. Ten Gallon Hat can promise the listener many things – they know just how to shock, rock and amaze but never disappoint.
