IRISH boyband Westlife are headed to Belfast this month for the launch of their new book. Their official autobiography Westlife: Our Story is set to hit shelves on June 16 and Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan and Mark Feehily will be in Northern Ireland just three days afterwards.
The boys will be arriving at Belfast’s book store Easons in Donegall Place at 5.30pm but the band are warning fans to be there early. Shane said: “We’re hoping that as many of our fans as possible can make the signings so that we can say hello. It’s always nice to meet more of them. “Unfortunately, we’ve only got a really limited amount of time at each of the signings so everyone should make sure they are there earlyâ€.
The book is set to be an open and honest account of the Westlife story including the emotional story of fifth member Brian McFadden leaving.
Kian added: “We can’t believe the book is finally coming out, seems like we’ve been working on it for ages.
“We all wanted to get really involved in writing it as we thought it was only fair that the fans get a true and honest picture of what our lives have been like in the band.
“It’s been quite an emotional experience actually as everything is covered – the highs and the lowsâ€.
The band will also appear in Dublin earlier that day and are rumoured to be considering staying in Belfast before heading to some of the band’s home town Sligo the following day.
Preordering of the book has already begun at westlife.com and according to publishing sources they are expecting the book to be just as successful as the band’s singles.
