WELSH soul singer Duffy rocked the sold-out crowd at the Limelight in Belfast last night.

The singer/songwriter, who’s is currently number one with her hit single Mercy, has been hotly tipped as the next big thing and has even been dubbed the new Amy Winehouse.
The 23-year-old’s rough soulful voice has often been compared to sixties legend Dusty Springfield and while she is flattered by all the attention she wants to be known for her own talents.
Judging by the crowd reaction last night and with her debut album Rockferry (classic female singer/songwriter). She has everything you need from a good female artist , it’s safe to say we haven’t heard the last of Duffy.

I was part of the crowd watching Duffy and I can honestly say I have never seen such raw talent in my life. She was fabulous, every song was brilliant and she had great rapore with the crowd.

We got our tickets for £7.50 each 6 months ago before anyone new who she was, we like supporting new acts and we just new she was going to be big after hearing one song a while ago.

I would just like to second what Anne said about Duffy’s wonderful concert on Monday night at the Limelight. It was an amazing show and fantasic to see such a talented young lady performing in an intimate venue. Anne, if it was you whom I had the pleasure of meeting at the show on Monday night, it was lovely to meet you and thanks so much for your conversation and kindness at getting me up to the very front of the stage at the end.
