Elbow are back with new music and gig at Mandela Hall

This is Elbow’s first output for new label Fiction/Polydor and will be followed by the album The Seldom Seen Kid on March 17th.

Frontman Guy Garvey says “This record is the one of which we are most proud for many reasons but to put it very simply we did it all on our own. Craig has taken the helm and we have recorded produced and mixed the whole thing without any outside help.”

Garvey also spoke about changing record labels, from V2 to Fiction: “It was great for a few years, and it’d be unfair so say we’d outgrown them, but that’s kinda what happened. It sounds very ‘ungentlemanly’, but we weren’t moving any further forward as a band.”
