X FACTOR star Shayne Ward has been sent back into the studio after music bosses Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh rejected his comeback single.
The singer, who’s mother is Irish, was going for a more American sound and recorded the track If That’s OK With You, shooting the video in Los Angeles last month.
But X Factor judges Simon and Louis decided the song it just isn’t strong enough for a comeback record and have sent him back to the studio.
A source told The Sun: “Louis and Simon are unhappy with Shayne’s new single and video. He needs something strong for his return to the charts and they felt it came up short. They are sending him to Sweden this weekend to record a last-minute track to make it a double A-side releaseâ€.
The single, released on August 20, is Shayne’s first in a year and his untitled album is due out in October.
Meanwhile the sexy singer has been lined up as the new face of Calvin Klein underwear.
The 22-year-old has reportedly been offered a £750,000 one-year deal and is undergoing a strict fitness regime to get in shape for the ad campaign.
